Pediatric Clinic LPN

Do you love working with children? Are you interested in a position that allows you to build relationships with the providers you are working for and the families you are serving? Are you reliable, flexible, and eager to learn? This position may be for you! Full and part time positions available.

We are looking for Licensed Practical Nurses to support the delivery of primary care services in a pediatric clinic setting. The LPN will work closely with providers, CNAs/CMAs, triage nurses, office staff and nurse manager to provide quality care to patients in a fun, fast-paced environment. This position will consist of both direct patient care and telephone triage responsibilities. We value the LPN as a leader and clinical resource for other staff.

Position responsibilities include but are not limited to:

  • Rooming patients: obtaining vitals, patient history, and reason for seeking care and any current medications.
  • Maintaining electronic medical records
  • Maintaining work area, exam rooms, supplies, medications, and immunizations.
  • Performing injections, finger-sticks, heel-sticks, urinalyses, throat swabs, etc. Assisting providers as directed.
  • Monitoring and responding to calls on the triage phone line. Determining urgency of seeing the patient based on a brief assessment and on familiarity with a patient’s condition and history. Sending patients with high risk complaints to the ER.
  • Collaborating with the provider and providing appropriate advice and education to patients who do not need to go to the ER or be seen by the provider.
  • Ensuring accurate notes of all consultations and treatments are recorded in the patient’s EMR.
  • Assisting with and performing skilled tasks in the clinic, such as catheterization.
  • Assisting with medication refills and prior authorizations.
  • Serving as a clinical resource and professional role model for other staff.
  • Maintaining professional appearance and personal conduct

Desired qualities:

  • The ability to maintain patient privacy and confidentiality.
  • The ability to collaborate and effectively communicate with other team members.
  • Proficiency in the use of computers and office equipment.
  • Strong communication skills to gather information and collaborate with physicians.
  • The ability to efficiently manage time and prioritize multiple tasks.
  • The ability to evaluate one’s own learning needs and seek out educational opportunities.

Qualifications:

  • Licensed Practical Nurse with current Idaho license
  • CPR/First Aid or BLS
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Dedicated team member
  • Prefer experience in pediatrics

We are looking for a full time CNA or Medical Assistant to support the delivery of primary care services in a pediatric clinic setting. This position will work closely with providers, other CNAs/CMAs, nurses, office staff, and nurse manager to provide quality care to patients in a fun, fast-paced environment. Pay dependent on experience and qualifications. We value employees who are hardworking, reliable, and eager to learn.
