Job Types:
Position responsibilities include but are not limited to:
- Rooming patients: obtaining vitals, patient history, and reason for seeking care and any current medications.
- Maintaining electronic medical records
- Maintaining work area, exam rooms, supplies, medications, and immunizations.
- Performing injections, finger-sticks, heel-sticks, urinalyses, throat swabs, etc. Assisting providers as directed.
- Monitoring and responding to calls on the triage phone line. Determining urgency of seeing the patient based on a brief assessment and on familiarity with a patient’s condition and history. Sending patients with high risk complaints to the ER.
- Collaborating with the provider and providing appropriate advice and education to patients who do not need to go to the ER or be seen by the provider.
- Ensuring accurate notes of all consultations and treatments are recorded in the patient’s EMR.
- Assisting with and performing skilled tasks in the clinic, such as catheterization.
- Assisting with medication refills and prior authorizations.
- Serving as a clinical resource and professional role model for other staff.
- Maintaining professional appearance and personal conduct

Qualifications:
- Licensed Practical Nurse with current Idaho license
- CPR/First Aid or BLS
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Dedicated team member
- Prefer experience in pediatrics.
