Medical Specialty:
Position Duties and Responsibilities (but are not limited to):
- All Medical Assistant's report to this position.
- Assists clinic managers:
- Makes recommendations to adjust providers schedules, helps with lab issues, helps with special projects.
- Orders and maintains the appropriate amounts of clinical supplies and medications.
- Troubleshoots clinical problems that arise.
- Oversees daily flow of back office staff and ensures completion of MA side job responsibilities.
- Training:
- Establishes, maintains and edits LSP MA training manual.
- Serves as head trainer of all new back office staff.
- Maintains proper operations of in house lab instruments.
- Certifies MAs in specific procedures:
- Urinary catheterization, deep respiratory suctioning, nebulized medication administration, medication injections, pulmonary function tests, ear lavage.
Skills and Required Knowledge:
- Must be a Certified Medical Assistant
- Familiar with adult learn modalities
- Basic Word and excel programs, time management, multi-tasking, and organization
Experience:
- The ability to maintain patient privacy and confidentiality.
- The ability to collaborate and effectively communicate with other team members.
- Proficiency in the use of computers and office equipment.
- The ability to efficiently manage time and prioritize multiple tasks.
- The ability to evaluate one’s own learning needs and seek out educational opportunities.
Qualifications:
- CPR/First Aid or BLS
- Current Certified Medical Assistant or CNA; if you are not a certified MA you will be supported in obtaining this certification in the first year after hire.

- High school or equivalent (Preferred)
License/Certification:
- BLS Certification (Preferred)
