Dr. Matt Parker was raised just outside of Spokane. He earned his undergraduate degree at the University of Washington, after which he went on to the Medical College of Wisconsin for medical school. He recently completed his residency in pediatrics at the University of California, Los Angeles Mattel Children’s Hospital. He recently moved to Idaho with his wife, who will be working as a pediatric hospitalist for Kootenai Health, and two small children. Dr. Parker spends his free time rooting for the Seahawks, Mariners, and his alma mater Huskies
Nicola was raised in Toronto, Ontario, Canada and completed her Bachelor of Science in Nursing from Queen’s University in Kingston, Ontario in 1994. She obtained her Master’s of Science in Nursing and her Pediatric Nurse Practitioner certification from the University of Pennsylvania in 2002. She and her husband Evan moved to Coeur d’Alene, Idaho in 2003 where she worked in private practice as a pediatric nurse practitioner until 2016. In 2011, Nicola obtained her Pediatric Mental Health certification after completing a fellowship through Arizona State University. In August of 2016, Nicola and Evan, along with their children Jamey and Becca left the US to travel around the world for one year. An amazing and incredible experience for her and her family. She has recently been working at Mt Spokane Pediatrics in the Spokane Valley.
Nicola and her family live in Coeur d’Alene. She loves spending time with her family hiking, camping, biking and skiing. She shares her love of cooking with her kids. She loves reading, exercising and feels best when she is out in nature.
Nicola so enjoys being a Pediatric Nurse Practitioner. She believes that through education, children and their parents and caregivers are empowered to improve upon their health. She loves partnering with families to provide holistic, honest and compassionate care to children and is excited to have joined the Lakeside Pediatrics team.
We are excited to announce, Dr. Claire Kenamore will join Lakeside Pediatrics in January of 2019. Dr. Kennamore joins Lakeside Pediatrics after after 21 years of practicing as a pediatrician in Billings, MT. Dr. Kenamore received her undergraduate degree from the University of Texas in Austin and her medical degree from the University of Texas medical branch in Galveston. Dr. Kenamore completed her pediatric residency at the University of Colorado in Denver and was board certified in pediatrics in 1997. Dr. Kenamore utilized her experience and talent in pediatrics in other professional activities as an Associate Professor, Pediatric Clerkship in Billings, MT for University of Washington School of Medicine, WWAMI; Coca-Cola Summer Research Award; Gold Headed Cane Finalist. We are thrilled that Claire is part of the Lakeside Pediatric family.
Dr. Riley is board certified in pediatrics and is a fellow of the American Academy of Pediatrics. Dr. Riley received her medical degree at New York University School of Medicine in New York City. She also completed her residency at the University of California San Francisco in California. Dr. Riley, her husband, and her young family enjoy local downtown events and traveling to visit family. In her free time, Dr. Riley also finds pleasure in hiking, running, traveling, and reading.
Pediatric Nurse Practitioner, Christine Young attended graduate school at Johns Hopkins University in Baltimore, Maryland. She was dually-enrolled in both the School of Nursing’s Pediatric Nurse Practitioner program and the Bloomberg School of Public Health. Both schools are ranked number one nationally for their nursing and public health programs, respectively. At Hopkins, she completed clinical rotations within the hospital, in several pediatric primary care offices, with the public health department, and in school-based health centers.
Additionally, Christine was involved in a research project in South Korea which looked at health discrepancies between North and South Korean children, and another project which compared the efficacy of immunization programs in several developed nations. She was awarded a National Health Service Corps Scholarship while at Johns Hopkins, and graduated with honors. On any given weekend, Christine hikes with her dog, snowboards or snowshoes, plays in a softball game, or bikes around town. Christine is also renovating a 1920’s home, one project at a time and she also finds time to travel, both in the United States and abroad. Recent destinations include: Dominican Republic, Iceland, New York, Cuba, and most recently Spain.
Laine attended Brigham Young University where he received a Bachelor of Science degree in nursing. Thereafter, he completed a rural family nurse practitioner program and Master's degree in nursing at Montana State University. He is board certified as a Family Nurse Practitioner. Laine loves spending time with his wife Jenni and their daughter and son. Laine's hobbies include: running, canoeing, and making sourdough bread.
Dr. Prince attended medical school and residency at Loma Linda University School of Medicine. Dr. Prince stayed on at Loma Linda for an additional year as the pediatric chief resident. She is board certified in pediatrics and is a fellow of the American Academy of Pediatrics. Dr. Jeanie's hobbies include: baking, playing the piano, and hiking. She loves spending time with her husband Bryce, and their two sons.
Dr. Park attended medical school at Rush University Medical Center in Chicago, IL and his residency and internship at Primary Children's Medical Center at the University of Utah. Dr. Park also started a Pediatric Cardiology Fellowship before deciding on general Pediatrics. He is board certified in pediatrics and is a fellow of the American Academy of Pediatrics. Dr. Sean is proficient in Spanish. He enjoys using his private pilot License and exploring the mountains and small towns of the North West with his wife, sons, and energetic dog.
Dr. Brian attended medical school at Loma Linda University School of Medicine. He then went on to complete his pediatric residency at Loma Linda University Children's hospital. Dr. Hickok is board certified in pediatrics and is a fellow of the American Academy of Pediatrics. After completing residency and one year at Loma Linda University Children's Hospital as an attending physician, Dr. Brian spent several years in private practice in Maryland before joining Lakeside Pediatrics. He loves spending time with his wife Heidi, twin boys, and his daughter. He enjoys fly fishing, riding his dirt bike, and snow skiing.
Dr. Westcott attended medical school at Loma Linda University School of Medicine. She completed her Pediatric Residency at Loma Linda University Children's Hospital. After residency, along with Dr. Prince, she founded Lakeside Pediatrics. In addition to being board certified in pediatrics, she is also a fellow of the American Academy of Pediatrics. Dr. Westcott enjoys being at the lake, hiking, snow shoeing, cooking, and reading. She also enjoys spending time with her husband, their two daughters, and their labrador.
